Dr. Valay Desai is a dedicated dental professional with a passion for providing compassionate and high-quality dental care. He is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, showcasing his commitment to excellence in the field. Dr. Desai began his academic journey at the Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Dental Sciences (SDMCDS) in India, graduating in 2011, before pursuing an Advanced Standing Program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School in 2015.

Driven by a thirst for knowledge, Valay actively participates in weekly continuing education courses, ensuring that he stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry.

He began practicing dentistry in 2008 and has been serving the Southern California community since 2020, fostering lasting relationships built on trust and reliability. Dr. Desai’s goal as a dentist remains centered on providing comprehensive care that is not only of the highest quality but also compassionate and family-oriented.

Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Desai finds joy in spending time with his own loving family, including his wife Krishna, his daughter, and their friendly husky, Blu. He is an avid traveler, enjoys playing tennis and finds relaxation in watching sports and embarking on invigorating hikes and long walks with his beloved dog.

Dr. Prashant Amin is a general and cosmetic dentist in Upland, California, and the co-founder of DNTL Studio. Dr. Amin enjoys providing dental care to people from all walks of life. With his conservative approach to dentistry, gentle hands and friendly nature, he strives to ensure the best treatment and patient care possible.

Dr. Amin was born in Chicago and raised in Dallas, but he decided to move to California where he grew up. After returning to California, Dr. Amin attended the University of Southern California for his bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene.

He then moved to India for five years, and completed additional dental education at Manipal University, one of the top dental schools in India. Following his studies, he completed his doctorate in dental surgery with high honors and general dentistry residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Dr. Amin has over 18 years of experience in dentistry. He is skilled in providing restorations like crowns and bridges, fillings and dental implants, as well as procedures such as bone grafting and complex wisdom teeth extractions.

In his free time, Dr. Amin enjoys watching sports, traveling and volunteering at charity dental missions around the world. He is an avid Dallas Cowboys, USC Trojans and Dallas Mavericks fan.

Along with the rest of the exceptional dental team, Julie is happy to help patients achieve bright, confident smiles when they visit the office. Julie graduated from the dental hygiene program at Portland Community College in 2000. She has been working as a dental hygienist at the office for over 21 years. You will find that she is compassionate, able to put her patients at ease and ensure a positive dental experience. Julie loves her career and considers all of her patients as extended family.

She has been married since 1998 and has one son who is attending college. In her spare time, she loves spending time with family, hiking, traveling and riding bikes at the beach.

Chelsea is a vital part of making the practice a warm and welcoming place for families and individuals to receive dental care. She graduated from West Coast University in Irvine, California, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. During her studies, she was honored with the Colgate® Student Total Achievement Recognition (STAR) Award and the Commitment to Ergonomics Award. Chelsea’s favorite part of working as a dental hygienist is helping patients feel fresh through gentle but thorough dental cleanings. She takes great pride in providing safe and comfortable dental care and feels happy when patients can leave the office with a confident smile. A good dental cleaning is not only a confidence booster but an important part of maintaining optimal oral health.

Chelsea was raised in Upland, and still enjoys living in the area. In her spare time, she loves doing crafts and home renovation DIYs, such as making wreaths.

In 2000, Mona graduated from the Pasadena City College dental hygiene program. In addition to her many years as a registered dental hygienist, she has also served 13 years as a chairside dental assistant, as well as a dental assistant and dental hygiene educator. Mona’s passion for dentistry has led her to seek higher education in periodontics and implant dentistry through her membership with International Congress of Oral Implantologists. She enjoys connecting with her patients on a personal and professional level and has made lifelong friendships through providing exceptional dental care. She truly believes that dentistry improves their quality of life and is thankful to be a part of it.

Mona loves traveling, spending time with her husband and two daughters, as well as food and wine!

Melissa has been a dental assistant for over a decade. She takes pride in making patients comfortable while in the dental chair. She grew up close to Upland and graduated from Chaffey High School.

Melissa has two children. In her free time, she enjoys watching her oldest child play softball, and her youngest runs around and learns new things.
